Sidebar Update

So in case you haven't noticed, I've updated the pics on my sidebar and added a photo to my title. I tried to find an updated photo of just me. In the 500 pics we've taken in 2010, not a single one was of just me. Every time I have my picture taken, Keziah is in the shot as well. Not that I mind. Anyway, so the new title pic is of Keziah playing in a tree at the homebirth picnic a few weeks ago. Michael Paul is out of the shot but he's actually holding her up in the tree. My new pic was taken when we went rock climbing. Keziah's new sidebar pic is of her rolling and being so proud of herself.

My new profile pic was taken on Mother's day and is one of my new favorites. We look so coordinated, but it was a complete accident. Mother's Day turned out to be unusually cold and I hate freezing in church, so at the last minute I changed into jeans in a sweater and grabbed a jacket for Keziah not realizing my green sweater and pink tank were a perfect match to her green dress and pink jacket. At church they gave all the moms a pink rose. I had several people tell me that we looked like we both dressed to match our rose. Here is a bigger shot of it:

The new Michael Paul pic definitely needs an explanation. It started with us listening to the new Josh Ritter CD, which led to us talking about Josh Ritter lyrics, which led to the line 'stain of the sepia' in one of the songs, which led to a discussion of old sepia photographs, which led to me telling Michael Paul that iPhoto has a sepia setting, which led to him having all sorts of fun at 3AM after baby and I had gone to bed. Michael Paul loves antiques and old things. Our house is full of Art Deco clocks, Bakelite phones, 78 records, old fans, and vintage guitars. So it wasn't hard for him to stage these fun photos. It was a good way for him to get a pic of his latest vintage archtop guitar, a 1938 Epiphone DeLuxe. Wanting to be authentic, he made sure everything in the photos, from the phone, to the radio, the lamp, to the hat is from the 30's. Yes even our house was built in 1939. He's a little unsure of the antique table since we don't know its history, technically it could be 40's or 50's, but it's close enough. So anyway, here are some more shots from his sepia fun:

  1. I love all these pictures. The ones with Michael Paul are sooo cool! Of course I think you and Keziah are beautiful! I'm just wondering how long it will be before Keziah is up a tree by herself. I love that foot propped up on the cut off branch.
